Revoltech #44: Black Ox

I only have 2 Revoltech mecha in my possession, and Black Ox is one of them.

My Revoltech journey is a bit weird. Most of my Revoltech are the Doko Demo Issyo and Yotsuba line-up, but the first thing that attracts me to Revoltech is Black Ox…kinda unrelated huh? But that’s how it is.

My mind works with a pretty simple logic when it comes to toys. If it is simple and looks mean, I probably gonna like it😀 (doesn’t apply to model kit, because sometimes complexity means more challenge)

For an old-school Revoltech, Black Ox comes with very little number of accessories. There are four changeable hands, 2 inner frame (for a damage effect), and a Tetsujin head (so people would feel obliged to get Revoltech Tetsujin after they bought Black Ox :D)

It’s really hard to make him stand alone without the base. His proportion makes him very unbalance.

And I find it pretty hard to capture a nice pose for Black Ox…maybe next time I should use someone to interact with him (perhaps Drossel??) haha, we’ll see about that.

A bit information regarding my activity, in the last couple of days I’ve finished my Tank, and gather some material for another Tutorial, most likely it’s gonna be about airbrushing. Hopefully I could post it all really soon😀 And I have this really important exam coming in this month, an exam that is gonna reflect my 3.5 years study in college. I keep blogging  to let off all the steam in my brain LoL. Well, wish me luck my dear comrades😀

Actually I kinda like the first opening post😀 Looks pretty cool for such a simple looking mech ^^ Kind of surprise that you actually had this revoltech!!!

All the best for your exams man…I know how it feels being in that situation before…its make or break!!

shiny! very nice, he looks quite evil, is he an evil character? lol yea next time you can have Drossel there too, light and dark (or she could just help him with the balancing XD)

look forward to the new tutorials but make sure your prepared for that important exam! study study study😛 and good luck ^^

      Yup, he’s evil😀
That’s the idea with drossel, light and dark. I didn’t thought about the balancing support though😀 thanks for the advice then LoL

    GAO~!
Truly a classic design. You’ll him very articulate and can recreate the scenes from the anime accurately (the hallmark of Revoltechs :D). Then again, I already have three Revoltech mechas and a girl.😀

He’s very good in doing all sort of bad ass looking poses.

@rocklee: He is the opposite of Tetsujin28 (the hero) in the series.

2 mecha revoltech where is the others one >_> there or there <_<
    first generation revoltech always like that ^^;;
I wishing the best for your exam mate😀

Lazyness I guess LoL I take a lot of time trying to pose him without the revoltech base, and failed most of the time. It is kinda frustrating 😀
And I wanna make a photos that shows Black Ox as strong and evil robot, I think the alternate arm and leg doesn’t really support this feeling.

3 simple but effective photos! I like that! Nice for a Mecha!🙂 I’ll see it well accompanied with Miss Drossel🙂
I wish you good luck for your exams! I hope everything will be fine!

Thanks, I pick these three from a total of eleven shots that I’ve taken. The other eight are either blurry or weird LoL. Maybe Black Ox and Drossel would fit for a Valentine theme😀

    Good luck in your exam!

You reminded me that there is a box of Testujin and Black Ox in my “mecha hangar”… To be honest it is not easy to pose a Revoltech figure without the stand (that’s why I love the transparent stand so much).

well, not every toy, I only buy the one i really like and that is if I have the money. Ive start collecting these toys for some time now, so maybe that’s why it seems like I have a lot of them
